We´re teaching Silvina, his sister and she came to church on Sunday and she really bonded with the members in relief society. She shared that she never liked churches because in every one shes been to, everyone just looks at what you're wearing, or who you came with, if you came walking, or in a car, etc. And that she's never felt comfortable. and she felt good in our church! She shared with the ladies there that she never lets missionaries share with her, because shes not really into religion. But for some reason, she let us share our message.. and that she had almost felt like she knew us before... like we had already met at some point. Ahhhh, that made my eyes well up. so we´re hoping now she´ll have a desire to be baptized too!
José is our other investigator that has now come to church twice. (hes the investigator that has only 1 eye haha)... and after the testimony meeting he was crying, and said he couldn't describe how he felt but was so happy. So all in all, its been a good week :)
We had another cool experience with these two ladies that we contacted. Its a grandma and her granddaughter whos 29. They told us that the granddaughter is from Buenos Aires but was visiting for the week because the grandpa had passed away just last week and so they´re doing the funeral and helping the grandma. They´re passing through a really hard time... and we left them with a Book of Mormon. Then a whole week later we passed by again.. and they told us that the Book of Mormon had saved them. That all week whenever either of them got sad, they´d grab the book (that they always kept in the middle of the table), and read from it, and there would always be something that addressed exactly how they felt. They said the book was healing them, and it was such a sweet moment! They´re moving to Buenos Aires this week, so we cant continue teaching them... but at least we had the opportunity to plant the seed, because now we can send some missionaries to teach them!
This week we decided to really focus in on the needs of people. Sometimes we focus so hard on the lessons and the evidence and our Spanish. But I wanted this week to just ask a lot of questions, and apply the gospel to what they specifically need.. and I saw a huge difference in the effectiveness of our efforts! The spirit has been present so much more in our teaching! And yes I'm still with Balderree finishing her training. I actually hope to stay in Bella Vista for a couple more transfers.. I really like it here. Our zone leaders complimented us on our work efforts, and said they can see our diligence.. which has made me want to work hard even more.
My shoes are not that good. I have 2 pair: 1 that hurts my feet sooooo bad. another pair that I got from an Hermana here.
